The Ottoman Golden Age
Founded by Isa-Beg Ishaković in 1461, Novi Pazar (literally 'New Market') became a thriving commercial hub on the road between Dubrovnik and Constantinople. The construction of the Altun-Alem Mosque and the Hamam transformed the skyline into a masterpiece of Oriental architecture.
