A Living Archive
Founded in 1949, the Museum of Ras (Muzej Ras) is the custodian of cultural heritage in the Sandžak region. With over 12,000 artifacts spanning from the Neolithic period to the 20th century, it is one of the most significant museums in southern Serbia.
Housed in a beautifully restored Ottoman-era building near the center of Novi Pazar, the museum sits adjacent to the historic Altun-Alem Mosque and offers guided tours in Serbian, English, and Turkish.
